2006-09-05: Finally ordered the Dillon 223 conversion

After ordering the Dillon 650 recently, I was trying to avoid buying a bunch of reloading equipment right away. That attempt was largely futile, as I noticed the other day that my supply of 223 reloads from Ammo Bros was running low. Now, their ammo is cheap ($175/1k) and cycles well, but reloading can get even cheaper. With the cheapest possible components, it's technically possible to get all the way down to $87/1k rounds when reloading.

A more realistic reloading figure is $100/1k rounds. Counting components and all, I should be able to recoup the 223-specific part of my investment once I've loaded 3.3k rounds. That's a year and a half worth of shooting at the very most. Another point is that Ammobros is $175/1k, but that's only when they have the 1k ammo cans. Smaller cans run considerably higher per round.
