It's a well maintained law enforcement trade-in, with the appropriate barrels for both 357 Sig and 40 S&W calibers. According to the SigArms website, the P229 is classified as a semi-compact weapon. For some history specific to the 229, check world.guns.ru.This is the first pistol I've ever bought and intended from the beginning to modify before considering it particularly useful. I intend to add a recoil management system from Sprinco, and a grip / laser sight from Crimson Trace. Lastly, I'll pick up a concealment holster for it on the off chance I should ever have a legit purpose / need for concealed carry. While I did spend $650 on the Sig, the additional mods will probably add about $320 more to the total price tag. |
