Houses/Trailer/Cleaning/200801/20080117/

I started off the day by putting my shop vac into blower mode, and blasting its filter with air. This removed the sawdust which had caked the filter pretty effectively, as well as the rabbit fur. I did this around 7pm, so it wasn't nearly as annoying as if I'd done it when I thought of doing this, around 1am the other night.

As you can see in the reading room pics from yesterday, there was still a lot of packing material in the room when my Pathfinder filled up. However, before starting cleaning today (i.e. on my "on the way to work" recycling drop-off run) I discovered that the "I Sold It On eBay" places will accept styrofoam, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc - so now I have a place to drop it. Armed with this knowledge and a recently-cleared-out Pathfinder, I went after the remaining packing material in the reading room. You'll notice that the bagged material was gone from the room by the time I took these pictures. In tomorrow's pictures, you'll discover that by the time I was done working on the reading room the remaining packing material had been removed and the new "prime offender" in space consumption is Christmas wrapping paper and gift bags. I was, however, able to work around what was there and re-position the now-empty filing cabinet, the sheet metal, and some of the monitors so that the piles-o-stuff start with the windows and encroach inward, instead of forming a barrier by the path to the door.

Did I say path to the door? Why yes, I did! It's now possible to walk to the door!
